New callsigns available for Scotland. Homecoming Scotland is an events programme celebrating Scotland's contributions to the world. In 2009, Scotland is celebrating the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns’ birth, Scottish contributions to golf & whisky, plus Scotland’s culture and heritage. Ofcom have made arrangements to enable licensed radio amateurs to participate in the Homecoming Scotland celebrations. Individual qualifying licensees will be able to obtain a variation to their amateur radio licences, enabling them to use the Regional Secondary Locator A for Alba to identify their station as being situated in Scotland. This RSL will be available in addition to the existing identifier M, though only one RSL should be used in a callsign. Calls are available until November 30th 2009
